SLJ Make A Splash Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Journey was called Make A Splash and the challenging for this task was making our own Water Obstacle Course. We had the choice to do it on Google Drawing, but I chose to make my Water Obstacle Course on Canva. To do this task I first had to watch the videos linked on the activity, one of the videos were what a Water Obstacle Course looked liked, once I watched the video I got some idea what a Water Obstacle Course looked liked. Then I went to Canva to make a presentation to make the Water Obstacle Course. The Water Obstacle Course I made has Logs where you have to walk on it and make sure not to fall, and the end there is a slide for you to slide down to the finish, and has many more thing to do. This task wasn’t that hard, but it did take like 30 minutes, if the Water Obstacle Course was real I would definitely want to go on the one I created since, I could race my family and friends. What I found the most challenging, would probably be finding the images since all the images I saw on Canva weren’t that good. What I found super easy was probably doing the naming for my Water Obstacle Course. This will probably be my last task for this year’s Summer Learning Journey since, today is the last day for the Summer Learning Journey, I hope you had a good time reading at my blog post, Bye.

SLJ The Manu Splash Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Journey was called The Manu Splash, the task we had to do was making a water splash on Google Drawing. To do this task I first had to watch some videos, the videos didn’t take that long since all of them were very short. Then I had to make a copy of a Google Drawing which was linked on the activity, the Google Drawing already had a Background and some water splashes but I chose to make my own Water Splash/Manu. I also added a person that was doing a Manu with my splash, I couldn’t find a good image of a person diving so I just chose this one and It was a nice picture of someone diving, I also used Remove BG to remove the background. The end results of the person doing the Manu was nice but the not best, I think I could do a better job next time. What I found super challenging was probably doing the Splash/Manu since I don’t know how to do a good Splash/Manu. What I found super easy was probably finding the water image and the boy doing the Manu/Splash since I found a image and used Remove BG to remove the Background, I hope you had a good time reading my blog post, Bye.

SLJ Seaside Math Quest Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Jounrey was called Seaside Math Quest. This task was on Google Slides, and the slide showed had 7 slides in total and 5 out of the 7 had 3 question each which I had to fill out. Some question were hard while some questions were super easy, to do this task I first had to watch some videos which were linked to the activity. Then I had to make a copy of the Slideshow where I had to answer questions, after that I had to blog it. This task was easy and hard at the same time, since it took like 30 or more minutes to finish the entire slideshow, this task was a fun task since it had me to use my creativity, this task was about Shapes and Patterns. What I found super easy was probably finding the images since I just had to write what I was looking for and just click a button and that was what I found super easy. What I found super challenging was probably doing the question where I had to use my creativity, since some of the question took like 10 or less minutes and all of them were nice, I hope you had a good time reading my blog post, Bye.

SLJ Pirate Map Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Journey was to draw our own Treasure Map. To do this task I first had to watch some videos about Treasure Map, once I watched the videos I then looked what I had to do for this task. When I knew what I was doing, I went to get the equipment to draw my Treasure Map, I got a piece of Paper, a pencil, and a colouring pencils. This task didn’t take to long, I think it took like under ten minutes. I drew a island where there was a red X to mark where the treasure was, I also added a compass where it showed North, East, South, and West, and I also ripped the sides of the paper and screwed it up to make it look old. The ending result were nice and I think I did a good job but I think a could do a better map. What I found challenging was drawing the compass of the map, since I didn’t know what a compass looked like and what was North, East, South and West. What I found the easiest part of this activity was ripping the paper and drawing the island since I got some pasta and spread it out on the paper and traced it, to make the island. Sorry If you can’t see the Treasure map clearly, Bye.

SLJ Submarine Fun Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Jounrey was called Submarine Fun. For this task we had to create our own Submarine, on paper with pen and pencil or Google Drawing, I chose to do my Submarine own Google Drawing. To do this task, I first had to watch videos of a Submarine and some facts about a Submarine, the videos were boring, but I learn’ted a lot of things about Submarines. Three facts about Submarine, is that Submarines sink by taking the Ocean’s Water and putting the Oceans water in a Large Tank and Submarine has the ability to stay underwater for several months! One last interesting fact about Submarines is that the first ever Submarine marine was built in 1620 by a man named Cornelis Drebbel. I then had to make a Google Drawing then I created my Submarine, I used some shaped and I used the Polyline Tool and Curve Tool to create my Submarine. What I found challenging was doing the Submarine since some part on the Submarine were tricky to do but some part of the Submarine were also easy to do. What I found the easiest part of this activity was doing the windows of the Submarine since I just needed circles and I just coloured and the windows turned out to be nice, I hope you had a good time reading my blog post, Bye.

SLJ The Big Deep Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Jounrey was called The Big Deep, where I had to create a drawing of a Angler fish on paper with a Pen and Pencil, or using my Chromebook and use Google Drawing to create my drawing. To do this task, I first had to watch a two videos and one of them were from Finding Nemo, and the other one was footage of a real Angler Fish. Once I watched the video, I then went of Google Drawing and I found and image to trace over, to do the drawing. The drawing took many minutes but I think it was worth it since the Angler Fish turned out so good and it looked so realistic. Once I did my drawing I searched up some facts about the Angler Fish and wrote some facts down. One fact about the Angler Fish is that they have a hanging thing, which is called the Esca, which is a modified luminescent fin ray found on the Angler Fish head. What I found super challenging was writing the fact even though it only took like 10 minutes, and another thing I found challenging was drawing/tracing the fish since it took many minutes but definitely turned out super nice. What I found super easy was watching the video, since the video were only 2 minutes each, I hope you had a good time reading my blog post, Bye.

SLJ Waka Step It Up

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our the for the Step It Up Activity making our own Waka out of Paper of Popsicle Sticks, and this task was for the Summer Learning Journey. I made my Waka out of Paper. The equipment I used to make my Waka were ( A piece of paper, a Pencil, Scissors, and a roll of tape). To do this Activity I first had to watch the video on the activity to know what I was doing for this Activity. To make a Paper Waka, I first had to watch a tutorial on how to make a Waka, then I got a piece of paper then I folded in half (It should be the long side just like you would make a Paper Airplane) then, I got my pencil and drew a Waka shape, when I had drew the Waka Shape when I went to cut it I realized a made a mistake, I was supposed draw the Waka shape down to the bottom but I accidentally drew the Waka nearly a third the way there, but I didn’t worry I just did another method, and it worked. Secondly once you I’ve cut the paper you will to cut a long strip of paper and add little rectangle or square to the side and cut it out and make sure to the cut the rectangles or squares off the strip of paper, or it will not work. Once you got the paper I will get the tape and tape the strips of paper and the rectangles and squares, and once you finished taping you will have a Waka, this is optional if you a more paper cut a rectangle and fold a bit into the side and tape it to make seats on a Waka. This activity was super fun to do, I got to use my creativity to do this task. What I found challenging was taping the Waka, what I found super easy was drawing the shape of the Waka. I also add some photos of the Waka I made, I hope you had a good time reading my blog post, Bye.

SLJ Waka Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Journey was to this Waka Activity, the activity was called Waka Kick Start. To do this Summer Learning Jounrey task I first had to watch some videos about Waka’s, then I had to make a copy of this Waka Template on Google Drawing. I had to make my own Waka on Google Drawing and labeling the Waka Parts, some parts of the Waka were named Taurapa which mean’t the ( Stern of ‘Waka Taua’ carved end-piece of a Waka) and Tauiho which mean’t (Carved bow, piece of a Waka), and more many parts of a Waka. What is a Waka? A Waka is a Maori watercraft, they would be canoes raining in size from a small Waka , that would be used to fishing and river travel, some Waka’s can be 40 meters long which is 130 feet long! I created my Waka on Google Drawing using some shapes and the Polyline tool on Google drawing, But I first had to know what a Waka looked like and I choose and image that I found and got some reference. What I found challenging was creating the Waka since there were no good images a side of a Waka so I just chose a image where it was the be hide of a Waka. What I found super easy was doing the labeling the Waka parts since their were already their but  I think It was wrong so I just searched up Waka Parts and looked and the Image that kind of looked like my Waka, Bye.

SLJ Zentangle Art Step It Up

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Journey was doing this Zentangle Art, this activity was a Step It Up Activity. To do this task I had to first read the steps on the Activity, which didn’t take that long, then I got the equipment needed. I got, a piece of Paper, a Pencil, I was supposed to use a pen but I didn’t have a pens that had ink. Secondly I got my Chromebook to look up what Zentangle Art look liked, once I knew what a Zentangle Pattern look liked I decided what I should draw and I chose a Seashell. I think I did a very good job, my piece of art turned out better then I thought. What I found super challenging was doing the the drawing itself, but bottom of the shell was to hard and the border, but it was the patterns in the Seashell, I didn’t’ want to make a blender so I just used my finger and my finger started to hurt. What I found the easiest was researching what a Zentangle Pattern was since it just took a click of a button, I hope you had a good time reading my blog post, Bye.

SLJ Zentangle Art Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Journey was ‘Zentangle Art’. What is Zentangle Art? ‘Zentangle Art is a easy-learn-method, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. We call these patterns, tangles. This task for the Summer Learning Journey was a little hard since it took two tries to make this. When I was making the first one I accidentally ripped the paper when I was using the pen, and I didn’t use the pen on the second try since it ran out of ink. The thing I drew was called Breach, and what I drew kind of looked like a seashell. When I was doing this activity I felt nervous, cause I thought I might mess up and have to try again but I didn’t. If I had to do this task again I would probably get a better pen and do some better shading, since the shading looks bad. What if found challenging was doing the drawing/shading since it took a long time but It turned out to be kind of nice, but kind of bad at the same time. What I found super easy were following the steps on the video and doing the border around my Art or Seashell, Bye.
