Hello, I’m Panharith and today our task for the Summer Learning Journey was to draw our own Treasure Map. To do this task I first had to watch some videos about Treasure Map, once I watched the videos I then looked what I had to do for this task. When I knew what I was doing, I went to get the equipment to draw my Treasure Map, I got a piece of Paper, a pencil, and a colouring pencils. This task didn’t take to long, I think it took like under ten minutes. I drew a island where there was a red X to mark where the treasure was, I also added a compass where it showed North, East, South, and West, and I also ripped the sides of the paper and screwed it up to make it look old. The ending result were nice and I think I did a good job but I think a could do a better map. What I found challenging was drawing the compass of the map, since I didn’t know what a compass looked like and what was North, East, South and West. What I found the easiest part of this activity was ripping the paper and drawing the island since I got some pasta and spread it out on the paper and traced it, to make the island. What a fun activity, I love pirates with my favourite pirate movie being Pirates from the Caribbean. I also love drawing and designing maps! Have you done anything like this before?
I think you introduced this activity well and I love your map design. It is very clear and easy to read and I like the additional, classic pirate map details like the sea monster, island and crumpled paper. What does your treasure hold?

Hi Panharith!
My name is Japnoor and I am a student at Wigram Primary school.My favourite part about your blog post was your description I loved how it was very very”descriptive” and how you explained how you did the SLJ task specifically.
I loved how you said that you did a great job but you think you could do better because you did do a very awesome job at doing the map but that map was so good I could not draw something like that .
The only thing I think that could be better is that you could add a bit more colour and that’s about it.
