SLJ Wavey Words- Word Wheel -Kick Start

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our activity was doing the Wavey Words – Word Wheel. This activity was part of the Summer Learning Journey and this task was about the ocean. Firstly we had to fill out this this wheel with words related to the ocean and once we had finish this Word Wheel, we had to blog it. What I found challenging was doing the writing for the Word Wheel since I had to use a video that had the information in it. What I found easy was doing the blogging since it I have blogged on Google Drawing multiple times and this one was super easy. If I had to estimate how long this Word Wheel took, I think it took about 10 minutes.

Hello, I’m Panharith and today our activity was making a word search and doing a word search. This was a part of the Summer Learning Journey, this activity was a kick start activity and it was very easy. It only took like 5-10 minutes I think. But first we had to do a word search and it was not that difficult it was a Word Search about Te Moana Miharo, I thinks it means that Ocean, Sea and Beach. When we finished the word search we had to make a word search about anything I choose football since I love playing football and I think it is the best sport in the world. The easiest part of the word search was making my own word search and the hardest part was finding the words in the word search we had to do.

Inferencing

Hello my name is Panharith in Mr Carrick’s Reading Class and we have been learning about inference. Our task today was to do a slide of our inference slides. I choose this slide where a boy named Henry returned home from baseball tryouts and he slammed his bedroom door shut and he put threw down his backpack and gym bag and went to sit on his bed with frustration. When he saw his baseball bat he filled with anger and he pushed his baseball bat under his bed. When his mum called out “Henry, how did tryouts go?” and suddenly tears began coming out of Henry’s eyes and down his cheeks, and I think he didn’t make the baseball team. The hardest part of this slide was doing the highlighting, I didn’t like the highlighting since it took a lot of time. The easiest part of this slide was doing the writing and circle if he made the team.

Terrific Shading

Hello there, we have been learning about shading in art. Some types of shading we have been learning about are (Cross-Hatching, Blending and Stippling and there are still more!) A new type of shading I learn’t today was Scumbling. Our activity today was to try to shape shapes, I found this activity easy and it didn’t take to much time. The easiest part of this activity was doing the part for blending cause I just had to colour a bit in then smudge it in to make it look 3D. The hardest part of this activity was doing the Contour- Hatching and Scumbling, since when I did it on my first attempt and I showed my teacher, my teacher told me I had to redo it! Thank you for reading my blog post. Have you ever done shading on some piece of art?

Shapes In Te Reo Maori

At the start of the term we have been learning about shapes in Te Reo Maori.  One shape I already knew was Porohita which is circle in Te Reo Maori. The hardest shape to do was Tapawha Hangai which is oblong which looked like a rectangle. Our task was to make a copy of this and we also got a sheet which the shapes names on it so I just looked at the sheet. The easiest part was making a copy of this. The hardest part was moving the shapes into the right spot.
