Hello I’m Panharith in Mr Carrick Writing Class, and we have been learning about Persuasive Advertising. Over the weeks we have been creating a food product. My food product was Winner Fries. What are Winner Fries? Winner Fries are WcDonald’s newest item on there menu. Winner Fries are made out of sweet potato and is the perfect combo with a burger. They are also packed with Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps with your vision. The hardest part of my writing work was writing in my book since, it was hard and boring. The easiest part of my writing work was publishing on Canva, since I first did it on a google doc, then I just copied and pasted it.

Today we have been learning about sugar in inquiry. I learnt that there are many different types of sugars, some of them are fructose, glucose, and sucrose. Sugar comes from a tree called sap. Fruits that we normally eat have naturally sugars like apples and bananas, they are called fructose. The hardest part of this word find was writing the words in. The easiest part of doing this was putting it on a google slide. One fact about sugar is that sugar comes from sugar cane and sugar beet. Do you know any more facts about sugars? This week is Book Week and for this week we had to do a book review about, David Walliams book (The Slightly Annoying Elephant). This book was a funny book to listen to. The funniest part was when the Elephant sat on the bike and it instantly flattened. Firstly we had to get some ideas so our teacher Mr Carrick read us the book, and we wrote ideas on a piece of paper. Secondly, we started a book review in our reading books, once we finished writing, we had to write it on a template. The easiest part of this book review was getting some ideas and keywords. The hardest part was writing the book review in my book, but it didn’t take too long.

This term we have been learning about healthy food, and the five food groups. The five Food Groups are (Grains, Dairy, Meat, Fruits, and Vegetables). One thing I learned was that grains give you energy by giving you carbohydrates. The hardest part of this presentation was writing about Te Whare Tapa Wha since it was a Maori thing and i don’t know any Maori stuff. The easiest part was doing the transition and adding pictures. This term we have been doing this. It is a spot the difference, where their is two images or pictures on one of them have difference and you have to find ten difference. You also have to answer questions where if you get it right a piece of the picture appears. The hardest part was answering the question, it was really difficult since the questions were up to the hundred millions. The easiest part was finding the difference with the magnifying glass, I think I did that quicker that the questions.

This week we have been learning about the Modern Olympics, and this is one of the slides I had to do for my reading work. I first have to watch the video and find the facts, second I had to summarize it then write a summary for it. The hardest part was writing the summary since I do not like writing. The easiest part was watching the video since I just had to look at it but it was super boring. Do you know any more facts about the Modern Olympics. This week and last week we have been learning about the Ancient Olympics. Our task was to do this slide about the Ancient Olympics. Something I learned about the Ancient Olympics that it is said the the first Olympics was held in Greece in 776 BC. The hardest part I did this on this slide was the Writing the facts since I didn’t know any facts about the Ancient Olympics and once I written one fact I had to read the text again. The easiest part was the title page cause it was the funnest part of the slide and the poster that I made on Canva on the last slide. Do you know any more facts about the Ancient Olympics?
